🤔 Problem

How might we help donors make a lasting impact with the donations they make, whilst helping charities break the perpetual fundraising cycle and plan for their long-term plans?

EverGive is charity-tech platform answeing a radical question: What if donations didn’t just get spent? What if they grew over time instead? By way of an answer, they’ve created the first donor-driven investment fund, harnessing the power of Bitcoin to transform the way that charitable giving works.

👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 Users and target audience

The users and target audience were donors looking to make an impact now and in the future by investing donations. In turn, the other target audience are charities looking beyond their immediate fundraising needs and thinking about alternative ways to raise funds. The donor base was across UK, Canada and US based. This meant a great emphasis on accessibility and inclusivity in design.

Through our team talking with donors and charities and our founder’s experience in the charity tech sector, we understood that the user goals and needs ranged from people wanting to maximise the impact of their donations and being able to support charities long-term visions and plans.

📈 Outcome

My contributions, as a principal product designer bore great outcomes for the company. We successfully launched the EverGive platform scaled greatly over my time there. My specific contributions helped launch the MVP and oversee design there, resulting in donors and charities providing positive feedback. As for the company, establishing design principles and processes and a design system they can take forward and that can scale as the company does has proven to have great value.
